ODE TO NEW YORK
Helen’s latest series Ode to New York is a celebration of New York and an exploration into how we use clothing as a shared visual language to express ourselves. After a few challenging years due to Covid-19, people have their pride for this city plastered across their chests and emblazoned on t-shirts, jackets, hats, socks, and the like. Helen aims to document this type of wearable New York pride through an ongoing series of paintings and drawings.
